Lessons

Vertigo Kitesurfing runs kitesurfing lessons from the beaches of west cork. The majority of lessons take place in the shallow water of Coolmaine, located just 40 minutes from Cork city. Our experienced and fully qualified IKO (International Kitesurfing Organisation) / BKSA (British Kite Surfing Association) instructor Paddy Buckley will be teaching and facilitating your learning. Vertigo Kitesurfing runs lessons from March through to November. The course fee includes everything you need for your kitesurfing lesson, instruction, insurance, equipment hire and wetsuits.  All you need to bring is your towel and swimming togs along with a sense for fun and adventure.  

Vertigo offers lessons to any level of kitesurfer, from  complete beginner with no previous experience to those of you looking to master advanced techniques such as going upwind and jumping.

Although Vertigo Kitesurfing can teach in a wide range of weather, in order to maximise the conditions and your learning, experience has taught us to be honest and up front in this heavily weather dependant industry. As a result we will contact you prior to any course to inform you of the weather forecast for the course. If the forecast isn't ideal for your choice of course then we will offer an alternative or re-schedule the dates to save you a wasted journey. The forecast isn't always right so if it changes prior to or during a course we will only cover what the weather allows. In the event of this happening we will give you the chance to experience the West Cork Coastline in a number of different ways.
